I would like to propose an innovative architecture by focusing on the human being itself. Nowadays, human-centered designs such as smart homes have improved the insulation and secrecy of buildings. The interior spaces of these buildings are more comfortable; however, it has also made the buildings themselves more vulnerable to humidity and decay. Such human-centered designs have not only placed excessive burdens on buildings but also reduced the tolerance capacity. In my work, I am introducing a new type of architecture, the architectural creature, which is a concept dating back to the early 19th century. Like living creatures, the architectural creatures change and adapt to the external environment spontaneously, and the people who live in them are encouraged to do the maintenance by themselves when the architectural creatures are damaged. The interaction between buildings and humans is shifting from a subordinate relationship that often falls into imbalance to a symbiotic one, suggesting new possibilities for modern architecture.
