當量體在傳統上傳達三維的概念時,圖像(pattern)在建築的意義上通常是二維的。此方案質疑這個二分法,挑戰圖像與陰影如何對建築本體的可讀性在深度和密度上進行轉化,也透過將建築整體(monolith)二分,將曲面與硬線條的建築語彙進行結合,再通過陰影變化的效果將建築本體跟建築表面的圖像分化與矛盾,從而創造出無預期的變化與衝突性(ambivalence).在這樣的手法下,建築的型態(form)從城市紋理出發,從室外延伸到室內,透過不同空間層次的變化來探討建築本身的自鳴性跟項目上面相呼應的可能性

 

Picasso’s “Bull’s Head” is an artwork by dismantling and restructuring an old bike’s components. This artwork inspires me that intervention to historical buildings could be thought through by the reversibility of metaphor. Hoping that it could happen in old buildings as well. The interactive of the atmosphere and components in the new space occurs the reversibility of viewers’ imagination, and reconstruct the old space appearance by imaginations.
