隙之間 - 植物方舟

中興新村是建成於1956年位於南投的花園城，曾經是台灣的政治核心。在1998年凍省後，中興新村大量人口遷出，自然開始侵吞人類的生活空間。

於是我開始以自然的角度重新觀看中興新村——環境與外界的城鎮產生斷層，大量空置的宿舍單元成為人與自然共處的媒介，只要有一點點的隙縫裂痕，自然就會進入人類的生活空間，這些植物的生存樣態瓦解著舊時代的中興新村，將結構變成生存的依附物，重新定義著空間的使用模式。

這些觀察讓我以自然取代曾經中興新村的政治意象並重新組構、定義中興新村的當代意義。

Zhongxing New Village (ZNV) is a garden city built in 1956 in Nantou, which was once the political core of Taiwan. After the freezing of the province in 1998, a large number of people in ZNV moved out, and nature began to encroach on human living space.

So, I began to re-watch ZNV from a natural point of view –

As long as there is a little crack in the slightest crack, nature will naturally enter the living space of human beings, and the survival of these plants will disintegrate the ZNV in the old era, turning the structure into a dependent object of survival, and redefining the use mode of space.

These observations allowed me to replace the political imagery of  ZNV with nature, and to reconstruct and define the contemporary significance of  ZNV.
