Time recorder of Guogang
How do people feel about the coastal land of Taiwan?
Is it just a tourist attraction? Is it a place for nothing and elderly to live? or is it a place for industry factories?
By observing Guogang, Extract the unique zeitgeist of each era , transformed these epoch spirit into different types, and placed them at the corresponding point, in order to extend people’s time here. Finally, by triggering different path and time recording devices, the residents and travelers’ knowledge and imagination of the land pass through Guogang will be restarted, allowing people to re-experience the story told by Guogang when passing by.

Time recorder of Guogang
Different from the rapid pace of the city, the settlements along the western coast always live at a slow pace. They are the epitome of Taiwan’s immigration history, and they are also easily forgotten stories. They are here only to survive with the mountains and the sea. However, when these seemingly unchanging things, due to population loss, sightseeing, and the intervention of power plants, the status quo began to produce rapid and apparent contact experiences, making people gradually stay in fragments of fractures, and these experiences continue to be replicated throughout the west. Among the coastal settlements, each unique field characteristic is diluted.
The present may be irreversible, so how do we use buildings to rebuild existing things so that the coastal land will not be forgotten? This is my question about the graduation project.
By observing Guogang, i make the historical context of Guogang has been divided into six different eras by means of time slicing. After analysis, the unique zeitgeist of each era is extracted, and these epoch spirits are transformed into different ones. Space, place it at the corresponding point, so as to extend people’s time here. Finally, by triggering different path and time recording devices, the residents and travelers’ knowledge and imagination of the land passing through Guogang will be restarted, allowing people to re-experience the story to be told when passing through Guogang.
