明日の記念碑

在北部的大地上聳立著一座北海道百年紀念塔。這座塔為紀念北海道開拓的百年歷程，但這座塔也有著「侵略之塔」惡稱，被批評無視並侵略早已在此地居住的愛奴人歷史，這座塔將在2024年拆除，並計劃在原址建立新紀念碑。

然而，明日紀念碑的設計提出不在原址新建一個全新的紀念碑，而是利用原紀念塔的拆除材料，製作散落於札幌市中心的建築群體概念，讓這些建築群象徵區域的發展歷史，並讓曾經在札幌市中心流動的河川再次浮現。

The Hokkaido Centennial Memorial Tower commemorates 100 years of Hokkaido’s history. However, Hokkaido also has a history with the indigenous Ainu people who lived there even before that. From the perspective of settler colonialism, the development of Hokkaido is a history of invasion. The tower is being demolished in 2024. In addition, a new monument is planned to replace the memorial tower on the site, but I feel that this will forget the history of development and invasion. Rather than building a new monument on the site, I propose using the materials from the dismantled memorial tower to dot the center of Sapporo city. A new monument will be created by dotting a group of buildings on a grid city that symbolizes the development of the area, superimposing it on the once-lost river.
