:envisioning reparation methods of the mundane as a design generator.
The focus of building repair always lies in restoring faulty components to their original condition. However, these repairs never match the original perfectly.
By incorporating gold into the repair material, Kintsugi introduces a subtle transformation to the traditional ceramic repair process. This creative intervention does not compromise efficiency but rather emphasizes the traces of repair. Inspired by this concept, conventional building repair methods are thoroughly examined to identify opportunities for injecting ornamental moments from within.
