Staring in the Tunnel : The Renewing of Coastline station

台灣 / taiwan

Tsung-Hsuan Wu

After the traffic revolution, the railway will no longer

serve as the main transportation between the north and

the south  of Taiwan.

On the coastline of several small stations, the number of train

departures is small, in the face of the problem of abolition,

how to reinterpret these old stations with special territoriality?

I will think about the most basic architectural elements:

stations, platforms, tunnels and waiting rooms, reimagine the

nature and activities of these spaces, and return to the scale

of the natural environment, people and landscape, to

strengthen the characteristics of the coastline station.
