The more visual advances we make, the more the visually impaired, who are a visual minority, are left behind, and we are living in a society where they can only be helped in facilities. In response to this problem, I consider visually impaired people who live mainly by touch to be “Shokujosha”, and build a city based on touch. At the school for the blind, I conducted research from the perspective of hearing and pressure, and by drawing and frottage on the Uemachi Plateau, I reexamined the city from a tactile perspective. Based on these, I proposed “three points of Shokujosha”, and designed it with the aim of creating a new space not only for Shokujosha but also for able-bodied people.
