無常的邊界 - 重新與海相遇的常民生活

「水能載舟,亦能覆舟」對於我的故鄉-蚵仔寮來說,正是恰當的形容詞。

百年前,海曾經賦予這地方生機,養活老小的資源;卻同時也一步步吞沒了屬於人們的土地。百年後,為了與海爭地,人們建了一道道堤防,保住了土地,卻也逐漸失去與海的連結。

200米到10米的距離。在這裡,我們與海靠近了,卻也離過去的文化越來越遠。住在海邊卻與海無連結,我們只是住海邊的都市人。

透過研究當地特有捕烏魚文化而生成的特殊生活模式-藏仔寮。來重新批判現今生活模式-為了生存,而犧牲了生活。是否有更好的方式,使我們在10米的生存範圍內,重新體驗200米的生活。

打開消波塊所圍成的邊界,使海水自然侵蝕,侵蝕的部分成為新的機能、公共空間。每十年能夠開啟新的與海感官,從經濟、信仰再到休閒再次回到過去200米外的價值。

從過去與現今生活中找出空間單元,並且能隨著海水侵蝕時間產生變化,每5年可以形成一個新的機能。透過三個實驗基地去重新詮釋當地的臨海精神。

“The water that bears the boat is the same that swallows it up” is an appropriate adjective for my hometown of 蚵子寮.

A hundred years ago, the sea once gave this place vitality to feed the young and old; but at the same time, it also swallowed up people’s land step by step. A hundred years later, in order to fight for land with the sea, people built a dike to save the land, but gradually lost the connection with the sea.

A distance of 200 meters to 10 meters. Here, we are close to the sea, but also farther and farther away from the past culture. Living by the sea but not connected to the sea, we are just urbanites living by the sea.

Through the study of the unique local culture of mullet catching, the special life pattern-藏仔寮. Come to re-criticize the current life model-in order to survive, but to sacrifice life. Is there a better way to enable us to re-experience the life of 200 meters within the survival range of 10 meters?

Open the boundary enclosed by the wave-eliminating block, so that the seawater will erode naturally, and the eroded part will become a new function and public space. Every ten years, a new sense of harmony can be opened, from economy, religion to recreation, returning to the value of the past 200 meters away.

Find out the spatial unit from the past and present life, and change with the time of seawater erosion, and a new function can be formed every 5 years. Reinterpret the local spirit of waterfront through three experimental sites .
