I try to create a contemplation place for the deceased and their family in the city where we live.

Due to the fear of death and the development of the city in Taiwan, the space for the deceased is excluded from the city and is separated from our daily life. We have to take a long journey from the city to the suburb to face the emotion of our passed loved ones. I tried to reinterpret this process and infill a silent space for the deceased in the city. It is a space where the deceased and the living can coexist in peace and harmony. People in the city can also take a walk, meditate, or just sit and wander in that place at any time.
